Yashna Trust, the USIEF satellite center at Bangalore India is pleased to offer an institutional membership plan to interested U.S institutions.

Background

Yashna Trust is a private organization that is the satellite center of The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) in Bangalore and is the affiliated overseas advising center, in Bangalore, of the U.S Department of State. It has spacious office premises that is located in the heart of the city.

Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka State which is known as the knowledge state of India and is the fastest growing state in Asia.

Also known as the silicon valley of India, the city is home to several Fortune 500 companies and has some of the best educational institutions in the country.

The following are specialized facilitative services that will be offered to member institutions

• Stocking and display of brouchres and other information packages in a specially designated area of the library.
• Advice, and consultation to admissions officers on educational trends in the city.
• Mailing of fliers (upto 100, each not exceeding 20 gms.) to targeted students.
• Use of the office premises for presentations/interviews(upto 3 hours)

Institutional Membership Fee : $400 per year

Optional Services Offered :
Based on the success of the following service with some U.S insitutions, the Trust is pleased to add this to the services offered above:

• Screening of candidates based on admission criteria that is determined by the admitting institution.
• Collecting completed application packages and checking them for accuracy and completeness.
• Completed application packages are either handed over to visiting university representatives or couriered to the institution.

Additional charges for the above Optional services to Member Institutions: $10 service charges per application and any actual courier charges.

Non member Institutions may avail Optional Services as listed above for a service charge of $ 25 per application and courier charges as actual.

• Institutions have access to an exciting and vibrant student market.
• Institutions are sentisized to the existence of quality schools and colleges that they may have previously been unaware of.
• Reduced mailing costs of information material.
• Increased credibility associated with presentations/interviews at a USIEF satellite office rather than at a local hotel.
• Institutions receive completed application packages.
• Students are prevented from applying to those institutions where they do not meet minimum eligibility criteria.
• Increased comfort levels associated from routing applications through a credible recognized and unbiased advising center.
• Advising center serves as a useful liaison between the applicant and the institution.
